"We enjoyed being part of a small, friendly group that had such flexibility and mobility. Getting to know the tour manager and local guides so well was an added benefit - so unlike the usual image of 'Bus Tour'.... The itinerary was greats - the capitals were stunning of course, but we were particularly happy with the 'surprises' of discovering Cesky Krumlove and Lillafured..."

Our four-country overland route embraces the dynamic countries of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. We travel beyond their capital cities to discover what most travelers miss: enticing countryside, warm people and peaceful villages.
Days 1-4: Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw
Begin in Poland’s capital, Warsaw, visiting magnificent Wilanow Palace before a short train ride takes us to Krakow, an 8th century picture-book city spared the bombings of World War II. Hop the train to Wroclaw and visit its Old Town, cruelly treated by the Nazis but restored to its former elegance.
Days 5-10: Prague, Ceske Krumlov, Lednice
Roam the medieval cobblestone streets of Czech Republic's capital, Prague. Overnight in the Bohemian town of Ceske Krumlov, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and set off through the wine-growing region of Moravia. Pause in Lednice to appreciate its castles, its gardens and its wine.
Day 11: Banska Stiavnica
Entering one of Europe's newest countries, Slovakia, spend the night in Banska Stiavnica, featuring 16th century fortifications and domed churches.
Days 12-13: Holloko, Lillafured, Tokaj
Crossing the Hungarian border, visit Holloko, a village of 650 people where 50 houses are historic monuments. Next is Lillafured, a stone's throw from the Tokaj wine region, Hungary's most lucrative viticulture region.
Days 14-16: Eger, Budapest
Tour the town of Eger, known for its signature "bull's blood" wine. Continuing across the Great Hungarian Plain, enter Budapest, built in the grand style of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and the last stop on our journey.
