How to Book
Making your tour reservation with MIR is easy!
1. Contact MIR by email (info@mircorp.com) or toll-free at 800-424-7289 to check
space availability on the tour(s) you are interested in and consult with a travel
specialist. Deposit can be made by credit card over the phone, or mailed in with
your tour reservation form.
2. Read and complete the Tour Reservation Form. Read MIR's
Terms and Conditions.
3. Send the completed Tour Reservation Form to MIR. At time
of reservation, a per person deposit is due as follows:
- Scheduled departures of MIR Small Group Tours - $500 (non-refundable)
- Scheduled 2008 Rail Journeys by Private Train -
- Danube Express Tours - $1,000 (non-refundable)
- Heritage Class / Silver Class - $1,500 (non-refundable)
- Gold Class - $2,000 (non-refundable)
 After
I send the deposit, what happens next?
Upon receipt of your deposit and signed reservation form, a complete preparatory
packet will be forwarded to you. The packet contains a wealth of information to
prepare you for your journey and in most cases, will include the following items:
- Itinerary update (descriptive daily itinerary for small group tours)
- Information on travel insurance - trip interruption/cancellation, baggage
& travel documents, medical coverage and more
- Various mail order books & maps, catalogs & flyers - including where
to find the best maps, guidebooks, phrase books and travel literature on these
destinations
- TravelSmith catalog - full of great travel clothes, luggage and other travel-friendly
items with a 10% discount coupon for MIR travelers

itinerary and thus you may not receive the exact information listed here. This
is a general list for informational purposes.
Visa Applications (if required)
MIR will provide visa applications and easy to follow instructions for visa
processing. Visa packets are usually sent 120 days prior to departure. Visa fees are not included in the land tour prices.
Payment Schedule
Final invoices for small group tours are usually sent 90 days (120 days for Private Trains) prior to departure with final payment
due 60 days (90 days for Private Trains) prior to departure.
